The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

Your Name and how to contact you (these may include your postal address, your telephone number(s), your e-mail address, your web-address etc.));

We may collect details of your PayPal account to comply with anti-money laundering regulations;

We may collect your transactional data (for those who donate).

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • use your information to satisfy any service request you may have of/from us;

  • maintain contact with you and to inform you about our work and events;

  • comply with charitable donation rules and UK anti-money laundering legislation.

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • In the case that the card processor (Stripe) and/or PayPal passes forward your address and payment information.

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • Maintain contact with you;

  • To keep you informed about:

    • our work;

    • our events;

    • comply with charitable donation rules and UK anti-money laundering legislation.

We will not share your information with any other organisations nor individuals without your prior consent, Unless we are required to by the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland/England and Wales.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored.

We keep your limited personal information on a secure server until it is processed by a member of the PTC (UK) team. All PTC (UK) data are encrypted in transit as well as at rest on authorised systems.

Your data may be stored for up to 12 calendar months for general enquiries and contact requests.

Financial and donation transactions are stored in compliance with HMRC record auditing purposes and will be securely disposed of after this time.
