Statement on the bombing of Palestine Trauma Centre, Gaza, October 2023

The picture below shows bomb damage to Palestine Trauma Centre in Gaza. The therapy team are safe so far and striving to cope in a situation with which they are depressingly familiar – electricity cuts, bombings, the destruction of homes and multiple traumas in families.  Today the horror of the 16 year siege has intensified to a shocking degree. No one is safe.

Whatever your views on the politics, this is the time for solidarity with ordinary families in their daily suffering. We will repair the trauma centre, replace the equipment, sustain resilience in staff and clients as best we can. But increased support from outside is the only way we can do this. Please donate and please share our stories of endurance. https://www.palestinetraumacentre.uk/donate
